2. Log Data vs. Personal Data

Data Sovereignty is our core principle. SRVANT provides an on-premise Agent that processes your logs exclusively within your own infrastructure.

  • Log Data: We generally DO NOT collect, host, intercept, or have access to the raw log data processed by your Agent. All shaping, sampling, and routing occurs locally in your environment. The only exception is the opt-in Streams feature, which allows you to capture small, temporary data samples for debugging and analysis purposes. These samples are stored temporarily, are only accessible to an individual account, and all traces of the dataset are permanently removed when the stream is deleted.
  • Control Plane Data: We only collect minimal configuration metadata (such as pipeline rules and sink endpoints) and diagnostic data (such as throughput statistics, CPU/Memory usage, agent version, and hostname) necessary to operate the SaaS Control Plane, monitor agent health, and synchronize your Agents.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways when you interact with our marketing site or Control Plane:

  • Personal Data: Personally identifiable information, such as your name and email address, that you voluntarily give to us when you register for an account.
  • Derivative Data: Information our servers automatically collect when you access the site, such as your IP address, browser type, and access times.
  • Financial Data: Data related to your payment method (e.g., credit card details) securely collected by our third-party payment processors when you subscribe to paid tiers.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies, local storage (such as HTML5 local storage), and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience and remember your preferences.

  • Essential Storage: We use local storage (e.g., the srvant_cookie_consent key) to remember your privacy preferences and keep you logged into the Control Plane.
